How it works

  1. 1 Accept the recipient terms and verify your identity with the payment operator
  2. 2 Switch support on and set a goal – say, “Bike service”
  3. 3 Go live – viewers support you with one button

One button for your viewers

Viewers open your support page from a stream, an activity or your profile, pick an amount and can add a message with their name – or support you anonymously. The payment is handled by the payment operator.

Clear statements and payouts

Your support panel shows what you received this month, the platform fee, payment operator fees, refunds and the amount to be paid out. Every month you can download a settlement statement as CSV or PDF.

Verification first, then the support button

The support button only appears once you're 18 or older, have accepted the support recipient terms and passed identity verification with the payment operator (Stripe). Your documents and bank details go to the operator – BEON.RUN doesn't store them.

Support goes straight to you through the payment operator – BEON.RUN never holds the money. We take a platform fee on each support, and payment operator fees are charged separately.

Support works in every sport – running, trail, walking, nordic walking, hiking, road cycling, MTB and gravel – and on every plan, with the same fee.

Support messages are highlighted on your stream and – if you like – read out loud on your own screen. You can show a top 5 or top 10 supporters list, or switch it off.

Questions & answers

Do I need to run a business?

No. Individuals, sole traders and companies can all receive support – you choose the recipient type during verification. Handling tax on what you receive is up to you.

How does verification work?

After accepting the recipient terms you go to the payment operator's (Stripe) site to confirm your identity and payout account. The status comes back to BEON.RUN automatically, and the support button appears only after successful verification.

How much is the fee?

BEON.RUN takes a platform fee on each support you receive – the same on every plan. Payment operator fees are charged separately. The current rate and rules are in the Fees and Payouts document.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are monthly: support from a given month usually reaches your account by the 15th of the following month, if the conditions are met – a verified account, active payouts and no holds, refunds or disputes. Otherwise the amount moves to the next period.

Who handles tax on the support received?

The support recipient. BEON.RUN does not assess the tax treatment of the amounts received and does not give tax advice – every month you get a settlement statement (PDF and CSV) you can pass to your accountant or tax adviser.

Can I raise money for a goal?

Yes. Set a goal with your own title and amount – a bike service, a marathon entry or a new helmet – and viewers see the progress bar on your stream and on your support page.

Is support only for runners?

No. Support works with every public activity and stream on BEON.RUN – from running and trail to road cycling, MTB, gravel, walking and hiking.

When will support be available?

Soon – once support payments launch and the documents are published. You can already create a free account and set up your profile.

Does a viewer need an account to send support?

Yes – to send support you need a free BEON.RUN account. Streams, activities, the goal and the TOP supporters list can be watched without an account. Support can also be anonymous: the public then sees “Anonymous”.
