Date and distance

Add the event to your calendar and consider how a marathon fits into your running plans. The 42.195 km distance gives you a clear goal around which to arrange preparation, rest and travel. Keep those personal arrangements separate from any assumptions about how the event will operate.

The supplied information does not specify a start time or an exact venue within Rotterdam. Check those details directly before setting your schedule for race day or agreeing on meeting arrangements with family and friends. Refer to official information rather than assuming that details from another event will apply here.

Share your run

With BEON.RUN, runners can share their position on a live map so family and friends can follow them, and run "together" with other users of the app. If you would like to use this option, discuss it beforehand with the people you want to share your position with. It can form part of how you include others in your marathon plans, even when they are not running alongside you.

Before registering

• Check that the date fits your plans.
• Account for the full marathon distance in your preparation.

• Read the participation conditions before entering.
